{COL Financial Tutorial} How to Fund Your Account

After submitting your application forms and documents, you will receive an email to confirm that your application is approved. (I recieved mine within two days of submission.) The email will contain your account number (8-digit-code username).

In order to activate the online account and start investing, you have to first fund your account. (You MUST fund your account within three months after their first notice of your approved application, Otherwise, you will be required to submit a new application.)

There are five ways to fund COL Financial account.

Online Bills Payment (via Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Banco de Oro (BDO), Metrobank, & Asia United Bank)
Over the Counter Bills Payment (via BPI, BDO, Metrobank)
Bank Wire Transfer
Overseas Remittance (via iRemit)
Visting COL Financial’s Business Center (Direct Payment to COL Office)

IMPORTANT: Always indicate the COL ACCOUNT HOLDER’S NAME and COL ACCOUNT NUMBER when making payments to ensure proper and timely credit to your account.

via Online Bills Payment

I usually do online banking to fund my account. With a few mouse clicks, I could easily transfer money from my bank account to my COL account. Basically, you just need to enroll COL Financial Group, Inc. under ‘Bills Payment’.

via Over-the-Counter Bills Payment

You can also visit any BPI, BDO or Metrobank and do an over-the-counter bills payment. See sample deposit/payment slips below.

via Bank Wire Transfer

For those living abroad, you can wire transfer your money from your foreign remitting bank/center to COL Financial’s bank account (BDO). Charges and transactions days vary per bank. You need the following information below.

Account Number: 343-016190-2

For further credit to: [Indicate your name, COL Account No. and Address]

You can print out this {document} to present to your remitting bank. It has all the information you need for the transaction. Once, you have done the transaction. Send them a copy of the receipt at remit@colfinancial.com so they could credit your account.

via Overseas Remittance

You can visit any iRemit branch near you to fund your COL account. Ask for an iRemit Remitterance Application Form (RAF). Fill out the from with the folowing details.

Primary Beneficiary: COL Financial Group, Inc.
Relationship to sender: Broker
Message: [Your 8-digit COL Account Number]
Purpose of Remittance: Investment

It would take approximately one (1) business day for your COL Account to be credited.

via Direct Payment

You could fund your account directly by visiting the COL BUSINESS CENTER. They are located at 2403-B East Tower, PSE Centre, Exchange Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines 1605

What’s Next?

After funding your account, you will receive an activation e-mail with your username (which is actually your account number) and password to access your account. The first thing I’d advise you to do is to log in to your COL account and change your password. After which you can start trading (aka buying and selling stocks).
