Stock Investing with COL Financial (A Tutorial)

COL Financial Review – My Take

I first heard of COL Financial at a Money Summit and Wealth Expo in 2011. That time, I didn’t think of opening an account with time. It was very interesting but I guess it was my lack of knowledge of the stock market that held me back. I was more comfortable with mutual funds since someone else basically managing my money for me. Anyways, currently, I now have a COL Financial account and so far my experience with them has been great so far, and here are the reasons why.

Everything is Online. All I needed to access my account is a laptop (or even a cellphone) and a great internet connection. I could see the market moving in real time. I could easily place buy and sell orders (during and after trading hours). I can check on my portfolio any time of the day. What’s great is that I can do all these from anywhere in the world, even when I’m on vacation.
Easy and Convenient Transfer of Funds. Thru online banking, it’s been really easy for me to transfer of funds between my bank account and my COL Financial trading account. No filling-up forms or lining up for deposit transactions.
User-Friendly Online Platform. It’s really easy to go through the account. It can be confusing at first, that’s why it’s really helpful to go through some tutorial to know what you are looking at the account. But overall, once you get the hang of it, it’s a breeze.
NO Required Monthly Funding. While COL Financial requires a minimum of Php 5,000 initial deposit to activate the trading account, I can decide whether to add more on later on. I don’t need to add money regularly (weekly, monthly, etc) to my investments.
Minimal Fees. COL Financial charges for buying and selling transaction, but it’s very minimal. No monthly fees too.
Great Customer Service. They have been really helpful ever since I applied for a trading account. High response rate. They also organize regular seminars on stock market investing for beginners as well as what you need to know to stay ahead with your investments.

Anyways, for the reasons above, I highly recommend COL Financial to beginner investors and it’s a good start. With that out of the way, let’s get on with the tutorial series.
